Pace to launch IPTV service in Finland.(Pace Micro Technology's DSL4000 set-top box)

Pace Micro Technology, the UK-based set-top box manufacturer, has partnered with Finnish telecoms firm Elisa Communications and broadband digital TV (DTV) services firm Maxisat to offer Finland's first broadband interactive TV (iTV) service using DSL.

Through the partnership, Pace is to supply its DSL4000 set-top box for the service, understood to include multi-channel TV and internet access.

Elisa's network reportedly covers the Helsinki metropolitan area and several other bigger cities in Finland, covering a quarter of Finland's population.
