Microsoft is to provide its MSN Internet service to Apple Computer's Mac OS X users from next year.

It is believed that prices and features will be similar to the PC version and customers in US will be able to choose from dial-up service and broadband. Microsoft's plans, it is reported, also include using elements of its Entourage program for handling e-mail and providing a customised browser based on Internet Explorer 5.2 for the Mac.

Earlier this year, Microsoft offered dial-up access for Mac customers in 14 states served by Qwest Communications as part of a deal between Microsoft and the telecoms provider. ((Distributed via M2 Communications Ltd - http://www.m2.com))
