IT security training is inadequate within 73 per cent of organisations from the UK's largest employment sector, according to results from SurfControl's latest NOP survey.

83 per cent of retail employees and 79 per cent of those in financial services said that they have never received training from their employer on how to use the internet and e-mail to minimise network security problems.

SurfControl, which manages e-mail and internet content in the workplace, commissioned the NOP World survey to analyse IT security awareness amongst 100 workers from each of the UK's six largest sectors (civil service, accountancy, legal, financial services, retail...
