UK mobile operator MmO2 has announced it could delay its 3G launch in Germany until November.

Earlier, the company had committed itself to a late summer launch, although it remains determined to meet regulatory requirements and to have a network penetration of 25 per cent by the end of the year.

Having already delayed the launch of its British 3G network until the second half of 2004, the operator is also looking to sell its problematic Dutch unit, O2 Netherlands.

O2 Germany is the smallest of the country's four mobile operators with a market share of eight per cent.((Distributed via M2 Communications Ltd - http://www.m2.com))
