Dukane Corp. (St. Charles, IL) is a diversified global manufacturer of ultrasonic plastics assembly systems, audio visual presentation products, advanced facility communications systems and underwater location devices.

In business for more than 70 years, Dukane takes its work environment seriously. So when a 1993 employee satisfaction survey revealed that uncomfortable workstation chairs were a concern, management looked to Bob Uchanski for help. Uchanski, Dukane's safety director and senior manufacturing engineer, also heads up the company's ergonomics committee, made up of Dukane's medical administrator, tool crib attendant and five department heads.
