World: Almay is tackling the sensitive subject of adult acne with its newest product range, Clear Complexion.

According to the International Dermal Institute 15% of women over the age of 30 suffer from breakouts of acne for reasons varying from hormones to stress. Clear Complexion is designed to work in two ways, says Caroline Thompson, UK brand manager for Almay, not only covering acne, but also treating it. The products combine active ingredient salicylic acid with aloe extract, camomile and vitamin E to prevent drying.

At present there are just two products in the range, a foundation (containing 0.6% salicylic acid, 8.99 [pounds sterling]) and a concealer (containing 1% salicylic acid, 5.99 [pounds sterling]), although this is likely to be extended...
