US, UK: British sports car maker, Lotus, is debuting its first fragrance in spring 2006. The UK will be the first market in which the scent is launched --in around 120 outlets of The Perfume Shop--followed by the US in the third quarter. Negotiations are also underway with other UK stores such as Superdrug and Boots, as well as the Douglas department store in Germany, Sephora in France and stores in Austria and Belgium.
The initial line-up includes a 50ml edt (which will retail at around 22 [pounds sterling]), a deodorant and a shower gel. The jus was developed by Robertet, while Germany's Corpack was responsible for the packaging. It takes its cue from the motor industry, with the lid of the shower gel acting like a hydraulic spring on a car. The jus itself...
