Optical Network Access Bay: ADC Telecommunications Minneapolis, MN www.adc.com. (New Products).

Fiberoptic Product News, September, 2002

ADC's Optical Network Element Access Bay allows single circuit turn up, testing, patching, and replacement. As ribbon fiber optic connectors are deployed on new network elements, the ability to access individual circuits is eliminated. With each connector and cable carrying 8, 12, or even 24 channels, the cost of service down time increases and network flexibility decreases. To minimize risk associated with loss of service, it's necessary to break out multifiber connections into individual fibers. Safe and reliable, the ADC solution transitions ribbon connections to single ferrule connectors. This allows for a discrete access, ensuring a safe and profitable network.
