EPA proposes 12 new sites to NPL:.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to add 12 sites and proposing for a second time one site to the National Priorities List (NPL) of Superfund sites. Currently there are a total of 72 proposed and 1,202 final sites on the NPL. The Hanlin-Allied-Olin, Moundsville site in West Virginia was originally proposed in October 1995 is being proposed again for EPA to obtain public comment on a new Hazardous Ranking System scoring package.
The 12 proposed sites are located in 10 states and Puerto Rico. The sites include: Mountain Pine Pressure Treating, Plainview, Arkansas; Hudson Refinery, Cushing, Oklahoma; Hart Creosoting Company, Jasper, Texas; International Smelting and Refining, Tooele, Utah; and Vienna Tetrachloroethene, Vienna, West Virginia.
