Rhodia and SITA form soil clean-up jv:.(International Pages)(Brief Article)

The French environmental services firms, Rhodia Eco Services and SITA have reached an agreement to merge their respective soil clean-up businesses: Antipollution Techniques d'Entreprise and Guoclean SA. According to the parent firms, the new joint venture, which has yet to be named, will be the French market leader in soil clean-up, with annual sales of around FF98 million ($14.4 million).

It will operate as part of Teris, the 50/50 joint venture between Rhodia Eco Services and SITA. Teris reported a turnover of some FF913 million ($155 million) for the year ended 31st December, 1998 (see HAZNEWS, April 1999, pp. 4-5).
