More on website suffixes. Someone pointed out they're actually called domain suffixes. OK, one possibility for architects is dot firm although I've never seen it used. Using other nations' official suffixes, if you can buy them, can be fun. For example, lan Martin's www. martian. fm site, which deliberately sounds like a radio station. Dot f m is actually the official domain name for the Federated States of Micronesia. The remote Cocos Islands, with its suffix dot cc, has equally interesting possibilities. Wrinkly pop fans, don't even think of 10cc, because it has been snapped up.

Former architectural bloggist Norman Blogster was well ahead of this column. He told me he tried to register dot re in order to register archi.tectu.re. Dot re is Reunion Island. Blogster reasoned...
