CARB Gives Grants for Studies on Air Pollution Effects on Health

Several institutions are joining the California Air Resources Board (CARB) in giving a total of $5.7 million to eight university and research institutes to study air pollution emissions and their health effects.

CARB will provide $2.2 million in grants, which the California Energy Commission, the National Aeronautical and Space Administration, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and the South Coast Air Quality Management District will match by $3.5 million total.

Among the projects relating to transportation fuels:
