Emerson marks 50 million compressor installations.(supplier news)

Over 50 million Copeland-brand CR compressors have been installed, Emerson Climate Technologies officials announced.
This year, the company says it will launch into production a new R-410A based platform of reciprocating compressors named CP8. This new platform will expand Emerson's R-410A line of Copeland compressors while providing customers another choice of technologies for their R-410A products.
"Since the 1980s, our company has built reciprocating compressors for a broad range of air-conditioning, heat-pump and refrigeration applications," said Scott Barbour, president of the air-conditioning division of Emerson Climate Technologies.
