The American Welding Society has published a new welding career guide called "Your Career in Welding." It is available free to students, teachers, guidance counselors and parents by visiting the AWS Web site. The guide features general information about welding and the society, industry success stories, scholarships, student chapter locations, and other information about a range of welding careers and ways into the industry. The various career choices featured in the guide present information on typical work environments and career demands. Careers highlighted include welding engineer, underwater welder, welding salesperson, welding technician, welding educator and welding machine operator.
