Datatec is well-placed to benefit from a rising global focus on IT networking Chris Needham
Networking is the hot sub-sector within IT at present and Datatec looks well-placed to benefit. The over-investment that took place during the technology boom has now largely worked through and growth in networking is likely to be more constant than in recent years.
Jens Montanana, Datatec's chief executive, also points out that as clients will be buying technology that's largely priced in cheap US dollars, there has seldom been a better time to invest in IT. That said, Datatec's business isn't quite so focused on the US now, where growth rates are more pedestrian than other regions such as Asia.
