Much of the excitement around OMG is its early-stage ventures into detailed street mapping (Yotta DCL) and the defence applications of its camera-tracking technology, 2d3. But these forecast-busting results demonstrated the continuing strength of its core motion-capture business, Vicon. Two years ago, OMG sold 200 cameras to the computer animators behind the eerily realistic Beowulf, which just hit cinemas. It was a very big deal back then, but OMG has already sold almost 1,000 of its latest "F series" camera since its April release.
