Brightstar shines on Synchronica.
Investors Chronicle - magazine and web content, February, 2008
A partnership with a big distributor could see mobile software developer Synchronica's star ascending Tim Bradshaw
Synchronica has signed a global distribution agreement with Brightstar, a company that delivered one in 20 of the world's mobile devices last year. Increasing mobile usage in emerging markets broadens exposure for Synchronica's BlackBerry-like mobile e-mail and other software.
Synchronica, which expects losses of GBP3m for 2007, says 15 mobile operators are exploring its technology.
Synchronica's shares are below our buy advice (8p, 22 Aug 2007) but big deals with operators look more likely, thanks to improved distribution, and finances were strengthened by January's placing. Buy at 7p.
