Gartmore has succeeded in clearing out Management Consulting Group's management.. Algy Hall
Management Consulting Group's (MCG) top dogs - chief executive Kevin Parry, finance director Craig Smith, and chairman Rolf Stomberg - have walked out after 20 per cent shareholder Gartmore won support from partners at the company's French division, Ineum, for a plan to oust Mr Parry.
MCG's share price has been hammered due to its lack of earnings visibility, coupled with the worsening economic outlook.
MCG's structure means that the leadership vacuum is not disastrous, and it now looks susceptible to a bid. At 37p, the shares are risky but good value.
