GCAP ponders fresh Global bid.

Investors Chronicle - magazine and web content, March, 2008

IN BRIEF: Global Radio has made its final tilt at GCap Media, offering GBP370.1m. Amanda Vermeulen

Global Radio has sweetened its bid for GCap Media, the owner of Capital Radio, with a 225p a share, or GBP370.1m, offer.

GCap has already rejected two previous approaches from Global - the first, tentatively priced at 190p a share and the second, a more formal bid of 202p - on the grounds that they undervalued the company.

It will be hard for GCap's board to reject this offer. At 204p, shareholders should sit tight.
