TIP UPDATE: Egdon Resources is forecasting a big rise in production over the next year or so.

Is it the calm before a storm of profits at Egdon? The management clearly thinks so. In 2008-09, oil production was little changed at just over 23,000 barrels from two oilfields. They are the 75 per cent-owned Keddington field in Lincolnshire and the 37 per cent (was 20 per cent)-owned Avington field in the Weald Basin. At the moment, production is running at around 120 barrels of oil a day (bopd), but early in 2010 it could be 500 bopd, thanks to restored production at another Lincolnshire well - Kirklington where Egdon has a 75 per cent interest, followed perhaps by 60 bopd from Dukes Wood.
