The digital camera has made picture-taking a whole lot easier. You can snap as many shots as you'd like--well, as many as your camera will store--and simply delete the bad ones. Compare this with the suddenly antiquated film camera, where perhaps a couple of shots per roll are keepers, but you won't know which ones they are until you develop the prints. Do the math: Over the years, you've paid dearly for hundreds of blurry faces and red-eyed relatives.
Digital photos are easy to transfer to your computer, too. Problem is, managing digital images can be a pain. Your camera's software stores photos in one folder (a section of the hard drive), but your e-mail program uses a separate folder for pictures downloaded from the Internet.
