San Francisco, CA -- nVIDIA fired the latest salvo in their ongoing graphics card war with ATI. CircuiTree attended an invitation-only event in San Francisco where nVIDIA unveiled the GeForce 6 series graphics card. The fullday event included demonstrations of soon-to-be available hardware installed in computers by Alienware, Hewlett Packard, Falcon NW, Voodoo, Asus, Gateway, and other computer makers.
Based on the demonstrations, this device delivers what some attendees called "the holy grail" of computer graphics, that being computer images rendered in real time that are virtually indistinguishable from real-life images.
