GFOA Annual Conference FORT LAUDERDALE 2008

This June, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) will hold its 102nd annual conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Technical sessions will begin at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center on Sunday afternoon, June 15, and continue until noon on Wednesday, June 18. The GFOA's standing Committee on Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Reporting will meet the preceding Saturday.

This year's conference program will feature seven "tracks" of concurrent sessions and discussion groups devoted to each of the key aspects of public finance:

* Accounting, auditing, and financial reporting;

* Budgeting and financial planning;

* Cash management and investing;

* Debt management;

* Management and policy;
