Again this year Ploughshares has placed 10 young people with peace and security organizations at home and abroad, as part of Foreign Affairs Canada's Young Professionals International program, which is funded by the Government of Canada. These young Canadians are now working with their host organizations.

Amreen Choudhury of Ottawa, Ontario, is in Bangkok, Thailand, with Nonviolence International Southeast Asia (NISEA). Amreen has an MA in International Affairs from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University, where she concentrated on topics relating to human security and global governance. In Bangkok she is assisting in NISEA's small arms work.
