Melinda Estes has been named president and CEO of Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt., inheriting a facility trying to put a scandal behind itself and whose former executives may face federal and state criminal charges.
No starting date has been set for Estes, a 20-year veteran at Cleveland Clinic Florida, where she is the CEO and board chairwoman. The clinic has facilities in Weston and Naples.
Estes, 50, was given a three-year contract with a base salary of $625,000 per year. Afterward, the contract will self-renew unless one party chooses to end it.
