Modern Healthcare and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society are pleased to announce the recipients of this year's CEO IT Achievement Award. The 2007 winners are: Alan Aviles, president and chief executive officer of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corp.; John Ferguson, president and CEO of Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center; and Michael Murphy, president and CEO of Sharp HealthCare, San Diego.

The trio brings to 12 the number of CEOs who have received the award, which was created in 2003. Two executives were honored in 2003; three in 2004; three in 2005; and one in 2006.
