PHOENIX-John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital on Oct. 10 opened a new $60 million emergency department and Level I trauma unit. The facility is part of the 266-bed not-for-profit private community hospital's $100 million in renovations, still under way. The 36,000-square-foot trauma unit and emergency department includes 37 all-private rooms to care for about 60,000 patients a year, and will be able to take on up to eight trauma patients and eight major emergency room events simultaneously.
