For more than seven years, Haynes has been CEO of St. Louis University Hospital, a 332-bed teaching hospital and trauma center in St. Louis owned by Tenet Healthcare Corp. Haynes, 51, has had a distinguished career in hospital administration, having served as chief operating officer of George Washington University Hospital and Capitol Hill Hospital, both in Washington.

She is on the boards of the Health Research & Educational Trust and the American Hospital Association.
