An evaluation of the security measures on the New York City subway, at the Stouffer Mayflower Hotel, Washington D.C. , the Watergate Hotel, Washington D.C. Capitol Hill building and the World Bank is presented. Security firms must be effective but not too imposing, particularly in hotels. At the World Bank they must avoid offending visitors with different cultural backgrounds.
