* The FTC has established the Advisory Committee on Online Access and Security to help the agency determine how business Web sites can best comply with its recommended policies regarding consumer privacy. Specifically, the committee will enumerate what is "reasonable access" to personal information and what is "adequate" security.
The committee will also gauge how difficult and costly it will be for businesses to comply with the practices.
