The new Cockpit Door Access Control Keypad from Baran/Tec, Inc., of Clifton, New Jersey. has been certified by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration for flight-deck doors. Its totally sealed, all-metal construction with a solid-state piezo design and no moving parts gives it ruggedness and a long life expectancy. The keypad is part of a complete flight deck door solution that also includes a reinforced panel door and a locking device. The unique software was developed in conjunction with Timco Aviation Sales of Greensboro, North Carolina, a maintenance and repair organization.
