SimplexGrinnell of Westminster, Massachusetts, has developed a new technology that integrates two products made by Tyco Fire & Security--the Simplex 4100U fire alarm platform and the Software House C-CURE 800/8000 security management software. The new technology helps streamline the crisis management process and improves response to emergency situations by employees and first responders. It also provides post incident reporting of video, monitoring, and other life-safety systems events for analyzing and improving emergency response. It enables communications from the fire panel to be transmitted to the software through a networked or standalone serial data port. While it provides central logging of events, it is supplemental to the fire alarm system. 1201
