The ASIS International 52nd Annual Seminar and Exhibits in San Diego, September 25-28, will include Tuesday and Wednesday general sessions by two respected veterans of U.S. security and intelligence.
Dole. Tuesday's opening session will feature the legendary national politician and war hero Bob Dole. One of the most prominent political figures of the era, with a distinguished record of public service, Bob Dole was the U.S. Republican leader for almost 30 years.
Born Robert J. Dole in 1923 in Russell, Kansas, he joined the Army in 1942 and was sent to fight the Nazis in Europe. In April 1945, in Northern Italy, he was wounded by enemy gunfire, suffering damage to his right arm that rendered it completely paralyzed. He was later awarded two Purple Hearts...
