'Wilson' (Reg. no. CV-78, PI 631390) is a large-seeded virginia-type peanut (Arachis hypogaea L. spp. hypogaea var. hypogaea) cultivar that was jointly released in 2002 by the Virginia Agricultural Experiment Station, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and the USDA-ARS. It has been evaluated experimentally as VT 940419P in breeder tests, early maturity tests, the Virginia-North Carolina Peanut Variety and Quality Evaluation Program, the Uniform Peanut Performance Tests, Virginia Cooperative Extension Yield Tests, and disease management tests.
