NAME GAME.

Advertising Age, June, 1999

A rock band goes through its paces and name changes in a new commercial airing on spot TV as Wherehouse Music converts its newly purchased Blockbuster Music stores. In-store executions feature famous musicians -- such as Elton John, formerly Reginald Dwight -- talking about their name changes.

With the conversions, Wherehouse will be in 21 markets across the country. Colby Effler & Partners, Santa Monica, Calif., handles. The name-change campaign will be followed later this year by a branding effort.
