Gerd Klauss, president-CEO of Volkswagen of America, will retire at year's end, the automaker said. Mr. Klauss, whose responsibilities are for both Audi of America and VW in the U.S. and Canada, joined the automaker in 1992 as the VP in charge of Audi of America. Frank Witter will assume Mr. Klauss' CEO role at VW of America while remaining chief financial officer.
