Best Buy tapped Omnicom Group's BBDO, New York, as the agency for its $200 million account. Omnicom's GSD&M, Austin, Texas, and Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Miami, were also in the review for the account. Crispin handles the store's Geek Squad advertising and will pick up additional business.

After earlier announcing it would review Google's $3.1 billion bid for DoubleClick, the Federal Trade Commission said it will also consider Microsoft's proposed $6 billion acquisition of aQuantive and Yahoo's $680 million purchase of the 80% of Right Media it didn't already own.

After a rift over their competing internet pay services, eBay removed all its search ads from Google in the U.S.
