BFS to raise prices up to 8%
NASHVILLE, Tenn.-Bridgestone/Firestone (BFS) will raise prices up to 8 percent on passenger, light truck, medium truck and bus, agricultural and off-the-road tires in the U.S.
The price increases will begin phasing in March 1.
They will apply to Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand tires in the replacement, original equipment and export channels, BFS said. The hikes are due to high energy and raw material costs, the company said.
This is the fourth time Bridgestone has raised prices in North America in the past 10 months, including an increase by up to 4 percent last Nov. 1.
