Allied Waste Industries Inc. has designated Bridgestone/Firestone (BFS) its preferred tire and retreading services supplier.
Under the agreement, BFS will supply Allied's commercial and off-the-road tire needs while Bridgestone Bandag L.L.C. will provide retreading services. Both BFS and Bandag will offer tire management services to Allied Waste, a non-hazardous solid waste management firm that serves 10 million residential, commercial and industrial customers with 12,500 collection vehicles.
Shawn Rasey, vice president for BFS' Off Road Tire Division, said the company's "extensive dealer network will bring outstanding value to this relationship.''
