Purcell acquires D&D Tire.

Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. will expand its geographical reach and its mining business with the recent acquisition of D&D Tire Inc., a Fernley, Nev.-based dealership with 10 service centers throughout Nevada and southern Idaho.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Purcell said the acquisition will enable it to attain in excess of $300 million in sales this year as well as double the size of its mining division and its commitment to that industry.
