Horizon Organic Dairy.(Brief Article)

Reports that Horizon Organic Dairy had become one of the suitors for Ben & Jerry's are off target, a company representative told Ice Cream Reporter. The representative explained that a former company executive was involved with the social venture group that is actively courting the Vermont superpremium frozen dessert manufacturer, but that his actions are not being taken on behalf of the organic dairy marketer.

The representative acknowledged that Ben & Jerry's would be a good fit with Horizon, which is not active in the frozen dessert category, but the company had enough to do without joining the acquisition chase.
