* Allied Domecq Plc, parent to Baskin-Robbins, Dunkin' Donuts, and Togo sandwich stores, has renamed its fast-food unit after the donut chain in an effort to speed up global expansion by making the business more recognizable to potential franchisees. The company's Quick Service Restaurants division will now be called Dunkin' Brands, Inc., and will continue to include all three of the fast food chains.

The foodservice division accounts for about 9% of Allied's total sales, but contributes 14% of its total profit. Earlier this year, Allied moved all three food brands to a single headquarters in Canton, MA.
