Unilever reported overall god news for its ice cream operations. In Europe, the company reported both sales and market shares in ice cream, with a good start to the year for its Magnum 5 Senses ice cream novelties. Ice cream sales in Turkey were also reported to have grown well. U.S. ice cream sales were described as continuing to perform well.

Worldwide, Unilever put its first half ice cream and frozen food sales at 3,353 million [euro], up 3,1% from the first half of 2004, with profits for the category up from 407 million [euro] to 472 million [euro].
