The Energy Northwest executive board recently elected its new officers. The new officers are as follows: Edward E. (Ted) Coates, chairman; Dan Gunkel, vice chairman; Darrel Bunch, secretary; and Amy Solomon, assistant secretary. All will serve in these positions for one-year terms.
The executive board is the policy-making group for Energy Northwest, a joint operating agency that serves as a construction and generating agency for Pacific Northwest public utilities. It meets monthly.
Coates has served on the executive board since 1995, most recently chairing the operations and construction committee. He also served on the Energy Northwest's board of directors from 1986-1991. Coates was the former director of Tacoma Public Utilities.
