Ten years of General Industries R (special industries) OSHA 29CFR1910.269.(Safety)

It is often easier said than done to make sure that electric power generation, transmission, and distribution employees get their documented annual refresher OSHA 29CFR1910.269 training.

But it is a federal regulation, and it does get done.

Most utilities use the refresher training (i.e. in a classroom) instead of on-the-job documentation. But the story is really in how this training can be accomplished, and be in compliance with OSHA 29CFR1910.269.

The training required in 29CFR1910.269 is located in paragraph (a) (2) Training--(a) (2) (v) Training shall be of the classroom or on-the-job type.

The classroom training requires documentation by the employer and OSHA documentation means a copy of the program attached to the training...
