* Pioneers on the great new frontier of genetics are discovering the genes that influence behaviour, according to the BBC News Online, December 18. Or at any rate, they are looking. For instance: the quest for a "divorce gene"; the search for genes that induce criminal and violent behaviour; and the search for a "thrill-seeking gene" to account for people's desire to take part in high-risk behaviour such as drug use, multiple sex partners and extreme sports.
