Glazer's and the Wirtz Beverage Group announced an agreement to form a new firm, Judge and Dolph, LLC, creating the largest spirit, wine and malt beverage distributor in the state of Illinois. As a result, Union Beverage Company, which is owned by Glazer's Distributors of Illinois, will cease operations in the state effective June 30, 2008.
The companies said that suppliers and customers will benefit from a more efficient and consistent route to market and enhanced brand building capabilities.
