Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. (NASDAQ:ISSI), has formed a joint development program with Industrial Technology Research Institute of Taiwan for network DVD Recorder/Player applications.
The new network DVD recorder/player adds Flash card reader functionality to the DVD recorder/player and allows pictures, movies, or music to be played from or recorded to Flash cards directly via the DVD system without using a computer.
ISSI's All-in-One Flash card reader controller, the IC1230, complies with the USB2.0 high speed specification and supports Flash media cards in all formats including SmartMedia, Security Digital, Multimedia Card, CompactFlash, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Pro and xD.
