VIRGINIA BANK INSTALLS MITEK CHECK IMAGING SYSTEM.

Mitek Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MITK), San Diego, a developer of automated document recognition technology, has announced that Union Bank, Inc. of Sistersville, West Virginia has purchased and installed Mitek's CheckQuest(R), check imaging system.

CheckQuest allows Union Bank to automate check and item processing. The system's courtesy and legal amount recognition technology provides the bank with the ability to automatically balance the debits and credits of transactions. As a result, the bank believes CheckQuest reduces operator involvement and related expenses in the information capture process and increases the bank's operational efficiency overall.
