CLERITY ACQUIRES SUN'S MAINFRAME REHOSTING BUSINESS.

Clerity Solutions, Inc., Chicago, has acquired Sun Microsystems' mainframe rehosting business. Clerity acquired the intellectual property assets and hired Sun employees directly involved in the mainframe rehosting solution business. This assures support and product continuity for all current and future Sun rehosting customers worldwide.

Clerity directly markets and licenses the online and batch application execution environments known as MTP (Mainframe Transaction Processing) and MBM (Mainframe Batch Manager) software, as well as 3270 Pathway, mainframe migration tools, and associated services.
